About

Pocket Lap started as a group chat between three friends who kept arguing about which racing game actually felt good on a touchscreen. At some point we decided to stop shouting and start writing things down. That's the whole origin story — no big studio behind us, just people who like games.,We only cover things we've genuinely installed and played. If a game bores us after twenty minutes, we say so. If something surprises us, we tell you why. The point is to save you the trouble of downloading five apps to find one that's fun.,When we pick a game to review, we look at how it controls with your thumbs, whether it respects your time, and how it feels after the first hour rather than the first minute. We rotate through genres on purpose, because a person who loves arcade racers might also want a good strategy game for the commute.,Everything here is written in plain language. No scores pulled from thin air, no copy-pasted press blurbs. Just honest notes from people holding the same phone you are.

Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been testing mobile games since the days of resistive touchscreens and still keeps a shoebox of old handsets. He handles most of the racing and arcade coverage.
